Our Methodology

How every Penserve session is structured

Regardless of which programme you choose, every session follows the same five-stage sequence. That consistency means participants always know where they are in the process, nothing is missed, and the output is the same quality whether you are in a short visit or a multi-meeting programme.

All sessions stay within educational and administrative scope. We do not offer opinions on pension entitlements, income, legal rights, or financial planning. When those topics arise, we note them and suggest the appropriate professional contact.

1

Inventory

Walk through what exists and note what is missing. Establish a complete picture before any organising begins.

2

Categorisation

Group documents into logical categories using a consistent framework drawn from archival classification practice.

3

Labelling

Apply clear, consistent labels to each folder and section. Labels follow a scheme any family member can read and follow.

4

Binder Assembly

Compile a reference binder with a contents page, location index, and any scanning checklist relevant to the programme.

5

Review

Walk through the completed system together, confirm everything is clear, and hand over the printed guide or handbook.

Programme 01

Records Visit

RM 520 per visit

A short companion visit — in person at your home in Kuching or by video call — covering the basics of organising personal records into labelled folders. The session is informational and administrative only, and does not include opinions on pension entitlements or income matters.

Participants leave with a printed labelling guide and a small set of folder tabs to reuse at home. The guide provides a simple category structure that most households can apply to their own documents without further assistance.

  • In-person (Kuching) or video call format
  • Printed labelling guide included
  • Folder tab set to take home
  • Covers five core document categories
  • Duration: approximately 90 minutes

Best for: individuals beginning to think about record organisation, or those who want a structured introduction before committing to a longer programme.

Programme 02

Household Records Workshop

RM 1,450 per household

A workshop bringing together members of the same household to align on where personal records live, how they are labelled, and how family members can find them when needed. The session is run as practical organisation, with no opinions offered on entitlement or income matters.

Participants leave with a household reference summary and a labelled binder. The binder includes a contents page and a location index — so that anyone in the household, regardless of whether they attended, can navigate the system.

  • Suitable for 2–4 household members
  • Household reference summary included
  • Labelled household binder assembled
  • Covers all household document categories
  • Duration: approximately half day

Best for: couples approaching retirement, adult children involved in a parent's records, or households that have never aligned on where documents live.

Retirement Records Programme

RM 4,500 per household

The programme proceeds at the participant's pace and stays within educational and administrative scope at all times. It does not include opinions on entitlement or income matters. The final handbook is designed to be used by family members who were not present during the sessions.

  • 3–5 meetings, pace set by participant
  • Full document inventory across all categories
  • Custom label design for your household
  • Scanning checklist and digital file structure
  • Family-reference binder and printed handbook

Best for: individuals or couples who want a thorough, end-to-end reorganisation of their household records as part of preparing for later life.
